Onuca Stepped Graphite Iron/Hybrid Shaft.

The first shipment of the one of a kind Onuca 60 gram, 2.2 torque, STEPPED graphite iron/hybrid shafts has gone out. I was able to try the shaft at the range in both a hybrid and an iron. The shaft gives a nice high ball flight as advertised. It has a fairly stiff feel compared to most very high torque lightweight graphite (due to the very low 2.2 torque spec). It gives you a feeling of control (takes some doing with my swing) and performed great in the set of Wilson forged irons I reshafted for a customer. I’ve got stock in A, R, and a few Stiff flexes. Please note the logo color is red for the first batch of .370 shafts I received (no blue as in picture). The shaft has a nice looking transparent matt black finish that looks great. Forged Iron Heads?

I found a nice forged iron head design and was thinking about offering it to Clubmaker Report readers as sort of a Buyers Club offer. The manufacturer requires a minimum of 50 sets. I was thinking of doing 5-PW (6 irons) in the above style. Nice and clean cavity back with a black finish. The price would be $54 per component head/$325 for the set of 6 (which would be the minimum order. I can also assemble these with your choice of shafts and price would depend on shafts. Let me know if there’s any interest. Would probably take 2 months to get these in.

Krank Drivers

I had a lot of luck fitting customers with the Krank super non-conforming driver and the Hiskei shaft. Many slower swing golfers are picking up yardage they thought was gone forever. USGA sets conforming for spring face at a CT of 257. The Krank non conforming head has a CT of 370. It’s designed for swing speeds below 80 mph (the face is so thin it’ll break with faster swing speeds). They also make a non conforming with a CT of 330 for 80- to low 90 mph swings and also a conforming head. Price is $399 with the Hiskei Wave shaft upgrade. Send me a note to order.
